Humanity's Evolution, Part XXI

  By Renee Hughes I counted six Little Dragons ahead of me. I turned around and saw an ever growing line behind. Neither Gershom, Michael or Holly were there. I felt largely relief but I would be lying if I said I didn't feel a tinge of disappointment as well. The Little Dragon in front of me suddenly moved backwards. I lost my balance and fell into his bony backside. A pale apologetic face then stared into my own as his hands assisted my body upwards. "I am so sorry," he said as he released me. "I am not used to standing in a line." His blue eyes peered at me from behind a pair of enormous spectacles. A look of recognition then crossed his face. "Your Anne aren't you?" he queried.
