Humanity's Evolution: Part IX

  By Renee Hughes Gershom gave me an unreadable look. Then Ezekiel's voice spoke catching everyone's attention. "The First Age of Enlightenment Discussion will start momentarily." My companion then popped one final sushi roll into his mouth and placed his plate on the table. "Are you staying?" he asked me. I nodded my head.   By Renee Hughes Gershom led me over to one of the tables. I managed to muster some enthusiasm for a beautiful fluffy white confection littered with multicolored sprinkles. It reminded me of a rainbow glowing in the clouds. I often saw them after a rainstorm. I had even become the rain, so I could feel the light refracting through the drops creating that natural wonder. Perhaps eating one now would help me with my conflicting thoughts. Unfortunately, it tasted nothing like the experience. It was too heavy and sweet. A sharp contrast to the refreshing quality of water and airy substance of light. I was unable to finish, so I placed it back on the table. "Not to your taste?" Gershom asked me. I turned towards him.
